Intro to Massage Cupping
Are you interested in learning massage cupping?
Most therapists use pressure created by their fingers, wrists and body weight. Massage cupping therapists use suction created by the cups to provide negative pressure, allowing you to work MUCH, MUCH deeper with no client discomfort and NO STRAIN on your body.
In this dynamic course, you will learn how to use the cups to perform lymphatic drainage (No more compression bandages - remember, you are using negative pressure!) You will also learn how to treat TMJ AND a terrific non-surgical face-lift technique using "mini-cups". A wonderful sciatic technique will also be demonstrated. You will leave the class with at least three brand new protocols to market in your practice. In class, you will learn about several different types of cups.
CLASS SUPPLIES - Due to enhanced COVID safety precautions, all students must bring their own set of supplies to work with. This includes a set of massage cups. The instructor will have limited cupping sets available for sale at the time of the class. You may work with any massage cups that you would like. If you are purchasing a set of cups, we suggest the Lure Edge Cupping Therapy Kit which may be purchased from the Lure website or Amazon.com. Please also bring a small container of a massage oil of your choice and either alcohol wipes or you can use a small spray bottle with a 50/50 solution of water and Listerine with paper towels.
This class starts at 8 am.
This course offers 12 live hands-on massage therapy continuing education hours.

"Cupping is an ancient healing art form has found new life in the modern world of holistic health. As a therapist, whether your practice consists of spa treatments, therapeutic medical massage or both, cupping will become your go to addition for your practice. Every treatment I give has some form of cupping in it. Nothing produces the results like cupping no matter what modality I use. The benefits of cupping are not limited to the client. The therapists hands and arms will be less stressed, which extends your career as a therapist. Cupping saves you time, five minutes of cupping is the same as 30 minutes of deep tissue massage. Economically cupping is a sound investment; cupping as an add on charge, new treatment options and a great way to sell on-going treatment packages. The negative pressure of cupping softens tight muscles and tones attachments, loosens adhesions, lifts connective tissue, brings hydration and fresh blood flow into the tissues, all the while draining excessive fluids and toxins by opening the lymph pathways."
