Absolute Acupressure
Course Description
Acupressure is a clinical discipline. Acupressure Therapy, AKA (Tui Na) is an Oriental Bodywork Therapy that has been used in China for over 2,000 years. Through the application of massage therapy techniques, Tui Na acupressure seeks to establish a more harmonious flow of energy AKA “Qi”/Chee, which means living energy. This energy flows throughout the human body which increases oxygen, blood, fluids, and cellular communication to all connective tissue systems. “Qi” is an un-substantial energy operating throughout the body identified through Meridian Channels, collaterals, and acupressure points of the body. All living life forms have a type of energetic force. Acupressure activates the external and internal physiology by utilizing specific soft tissue pathways that help the body thrive and generate natural healing.
Tui Na is an acupressure method using fingertips, hands, elbows or a safe acupressure tool to activate energy points via soft tissue muscles and tendons of the body. It is an art of medicine training with specific treatment protocols designed to activate or deactivate weak or hypertonic body regions that can also be rooted in forms of physiologic imbalances. Symptoms such as headaches, frozen shoulder, digestive issues, emotional stressors, and any kind of body aches due to internal & external inflammatory disorders. Acupressure, as well, can realign the musculoskeletal and ligamentous relationships for natural bone settings. Topical Chinese liniments and medicated salves will be introduced as part of the course education.
