Course Information

Lypossage®: The Art and Science of Manual Body Contouring

Clinically Proven. Non-Invasive. Globally Recognized.

Transform bodies and your massage business with the protocol that defined manual body contouring. In an industry of fleeting trends, Lypossage® remains the gold standard. Developed in 1999 by Charles W. Wiltsie III, this specialized therapy bridges the gap between traditional massage and aesthetics. By targeting the lymphatic system and deep fascial bundles, Lypossage® delivers measurable dimension loss and structural skin health.
.

What Lypossage® is

Lypossage® is a safe and non-invasive, body-contouring massage technique designed for healthy individuals looking to reduce the appearance of cellulite, detoxify and reshape their body, and enhance skin tone without surgery. It is particularly targeted to clients seeking to improve lymphatic drainage and reduce dimension in specific areas like the thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen. It is best suited for individuals who have already achieved a stable weight but wish to target stubborn, hard-to-tone areas, often acting as a natural, hands-on alternative or complement to liposuction.

Lypossage® is For:

  • Individuals Targeting Cellulite & Contouring: Those with cellulite on the hips, thighs, buttocks, or abdomen (Zone 1), or those looking to firm the upper arms, back, and stomach (Zone 2).
  • Those Seeking Anti-Aging (Face/Neck): Individuals targeting sagging skin on the face, neck, and head (Zone 3) for a “natural facelift” effect.
  • Individuals with Stagnant Lymphatic Flow: Those experiencing water retention, bloating, or feeling “sluggish” due to a slow lymphatic system.
  • Enhanced Self-Esteem: As clients experience this detoxifying modality and start seeing results, they feel better about themselves and have shown to be more confident about their self-image.
  • Decreased Pain or Discomfort: As a latent side effect, some clients experience decreased pain or discomfort. Essentially, this technique is a fascial restructuring that is being cleaned up by lymphatic work. Clients feel great after receiving it.
  • Series-Based: It requires a commitment to a series of sessions, at least 9 sessions and ideally 18, performed 2–3 times per week for optimal results, plus monthly maintenance sessions for more lasting results.
  • Clients Seeking Non-Invasive Results: Lypossage® is perfectly positioned as a non-invasive, cost-effective option for those seeking measurable results without the downtime, costs, or recovery risks associated with plastic surgery.
    .
    .

What Lypossage® is NOT

  • Not a Weight-Loss Solution: Lypossage® is for “dimension loss” (inches) rather than significant weight loss, as it works by stimulating lymphatic flow and breaking down adhesions, not reducing overall body fat percentage.
  • Not Recommended as a Immediate Post-Op Service: Clients recovering from liposuction, BBL, face lifts, tummy tucks, even child birth or other surgeries who need to reduce swelling and improve tissue health would be better served by using Advanced Lymphatic Drainage protocols. After sufficient time for healing has taken place (generally, at least 6-weeks) and with physician approval, Lypossage® treatments can then become an essential tool.
    .
    .

Targeted Transformation: The Three Zones

Lypossage® is a focused, 30-minute protocol tailored to address specific client goals. In class, you will learn and practice protocols to address each of the following “Zones.” In your massage practice, you may treat a client for one or more zones in a single session.

  • Zone 1: Lower Body | Hips, Thighs, Buttocks, & Lower Abdomen | Targets stubborn cellulite, “saddlebags,” and lower-body congestion..

  • Zone 2: Upper Body | Upper Abdomen, Back, & Arms | Reduces “bra bulge,” firms the upper arms, and improves postural fascial tension..

  • Zone 3: Face & Neck | Head, Neck, & Décolleté | The “Natural Facelift.” Drains facial puffiness, defines the jawline, and firms sagging skin.
    .
    .

The Science

Lypossage® decongests the tissues by flushing out stagnant metabolic waste and stalled lymphatic fluid, allowing the body’s natural filtration systems to work at peak efficiency. There is clinical research and studies to back this up.

  • The 6.45-Inch Edge: In a U.S. clinical study, participants undergoing the full 18-session Lypossage® protocol saw an average reduction of 6.45 inches in body circumference.  – Wiltsie, C. W. (1999). “Deep Tissue Massage: Does Massage Therapy Have An Impact on Body Dimensions in the Hips and Thighs of Women?” Massage & Bodywork Magazine, Feb/March Issue.

  • Surgical Synergy: Research from the University of Ghent (Belgium) highlights Lypossage® as an essential tool. It optimizes lymphatic flow before surgery and prevents fibrosis (tissue hardness) and edema (swelling) during advanced recovery (after initial recovery has taken place.)  – Artevelde University College & University of Ghent (2006). “The Effects of Lypossage on Body Composition and Lipid Profiles.” (Independent Study).

  • Cellular Renewal: By stimulating fibroblasts, Lypossage® triggers natural collagen production, improving skin elasticity and smoothing the “orange peel” texture of cellulite. – Wiltsie, C. W. (2005). Lypossage: Homeopathic Treatment for Body Contouring and Cellulite Reduction.

Staying Overnight?

Staying Overnight for Your Class?

Convenience and Comfort:  If you’re traveling to a class and staying overnight, staying at the same location where it’s held can be very convenient. We prioritize booking classes at business travel hotels that offer a comfortable and affordable experience. These hotels are often grouped close to other similar properties, so if you don’t find a room at the hotel where the class is being held, there should be other good options nearby.

Room Booking:  For weekend classes (excluding special events such as Success School & Education Vacations), we typically don’t arrange room blocks. Room block rates (if available) expire a few weeks before the event. Consider booking directly with the hotel for more flexibility and service compared to third-party sites.

Finding the Best Rate: Check directly with the hotel for any discounts. Explore popular travel websites like hotels.com, trivago.com, expedia.com, etc. for deals. Check rates at other nearby hotels.

Confirmation Reminder:  Enrolled students will receive an email reminder 7-10 days before the class with the confirmed location details.

  • Zone 1: Lower Body | Hips, Thighs, Buttocks, & Lower Abdomen | Targets stubborn cellulite, “saddlebags,” and lower-body congestion..
