Advanced Reflexology

Course Information

Advance Your Reflexology Practice: Targeted Treatments and Holistic Assessment

This intensive course moves beyond general relaxation, teaching you how to address complex client concerns through a deep, holistic lens. You will learn to integrate advanced reflexology techniques with structural assessment and supportive tools like Kinesiology Taping to provide a truly comprehensive treatment.

Reflexology & The Body’s Systems

Reflexology is based on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to different organs, glands, and body systems. By applying precise pressure to these pathways, practitioners can:

  • Optimize Circulation: Support blood and lymph flow to corresponding body areas.

  • Balance the Nervous System: Facilitate a shift from sympathetic (stress) to parasympathetic (rest) states.

  • Manage Tension: Address the physical manifestations of chronic stress, digestive discomfort, and tension headaches.

  • Support Structural Alignment: Release compensatory patterns in the lower leg and feet that affect the entire kinetic chain.
    .
    .

What You Will Learn:

  • Advanced Clinical Protocols: Master specific techniques for every gland and organ system to create customized 60- to 120-minute sessions.

  • The Science of the Foot & Gait: Gain a deep understanding of foot anatomy, common maladies, and how gait influences the lower leg and posture.

  • Orthotics & Tools: Learn the role of orthotics in foot health and how to incorporate reflexology tools and rollers to enhance treatment outcomes.

  • Supportive Taping: Discover how to apply Kinesiology Tape to support foot and ankle recovery and prolong the benefits of your manual work.

  • Comparative Zone Theories: Explore various “zone-based” modalities such as Ear Reflexology, Metamorphic Technique, and the theoretical foundations of Iridology as a means of holistic observation.

  • Therapeutic Relaxation: Integrate 10 new relaxation techniques designed to calm the nervous system and prepare the body for deeper reflex work.
    .

Professional Benefits:

  • Expand Your Expertise: Offer specialized, high-level treatments that set you apart as a clinical specialist.

  • Holistic Insight: Deepen your understanding of how foot health impacts overall body alignment and well-being.

  • Enhanced Outcomes: Learn to address specific client complaints with targeted protocols while staying strictly within your professional scope.

  • Practical Integration: Walk away with a refined 2-hour routine that can be modularized for any client’s needs.
    .

This course is perfect for experienced reflexologists looking to take their practice to the next level. By the end of the program, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional reflexology treatments that produce remarkable results.

Prerequisite: Completion of LMT Success Group’s Foundations of Reflexology or Intro to Foot Reflexology course -OR- signifcant experience with reflexology.

How Many Massage CEs Does This Class Offer?

Summary of Massage CE Course Approval

This course is approved for continuing education (CE) hours for massage therapists by multiple organizations:

National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB):

  • 16 hours of live, hands-on massage CE
  • New York endorsement available upon request

If you are licensed in more than one state, hours may be used toward multiple states.

While most states accept NCBTMB-approved courses, individual state licensing boards have the final say as to which courses are in the scope of practice for massage therapists and approved in their state.  Therapists are responsible for verifying their state’s specific CE requirements.

For Georiga LMTs:  According to the Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia, Section (1)(c) of Rule 345-4-.01 states:  “Courses in energy work, reflexology, and other alternative therapies may be accepted if the course provides for an understanding of the relationship of the concepts to the practice of massage therapy.” This class is in compliance with that condition and is approved by Georgia CE Broker accordingly.

This course is not currently approved for CE credit in Louisiana or Mississippi.

Who Should Take This Class? / Prerequisites

Who should take this class?

Prerequisites: This is not an entry-level class. Experience in reflexology massage is suggested, but not required. Foundations of Reflexology is offered on the Monday and Tuesday before this class takes place. For best results, is strongly recommended that the Foundations and Advanced Reflexology classes be taken together as a series.

This class is specifically intended for licensed massage therapists.

Massage therapy students nearing program completion are eligible to attend.  (Note: CE hours may not transfer to future renewals in most states)

Athletic trainers, coaches and fitness professionals may take this course if it is within your scope of practice to provide hands-on care to your clients, for informational purposes only. You may check with your state board to confirm if it falls within your scope of practice and qualifies for CE credit.

This course provides continuing education (CE) hours for massage therapists and a Certificate of Completion. This certificate does not replace a massage license.

Each state has its own CE requirements and definitions of “scope of practice” for massage therapists. Verify with your state board to ensure the course qualifies for your renewal needs.

Staying Overnight?

Staying Overnight for Your Class?

Convenience and Comfort:  If you’re traveling to a class and staying overnight, staying at the same location where it’s held can be very convenient. We prioritize booking classes at business travel hotels that offer a comfortable and affordable experience. These hotels are often grouped close to other similar properties, so if you don’t find a room at the hotel where the class is being held, there should be other good options nearby.

Room Booking:  For weekend classes (excluding special events such as Success School & Education Vacations), we typically don’t arrange room blocks. Room block rates (if available) expire a few weeks before the event. Consider booking directly with the hotel for more flexibility and service compared to third-party sites.

Finding the Best Rate: Check directly with the hotel for any discounts. Explore popular travel websites like hotels.com, trivago.com, expedia.com, etc. for deals. Check rates at other nearby hotels.

Confirmation Reminder:  Enrolled students will receive an email reminder 7-10 days before the class with the confirmed location details.

We hope this information helps you plan your comfortable and convenient stay for your class!
