Our Medical Massage Practitioner Program is designed for massage therapists interested in working in clinical settings, accepting prescriptions from physicians, and/or seeking advanced training in medical massage.

• Professional Level: Includes Day of the Back and Lower Extremity classes.
• Masters Level: Includes Day of the Neck and Upper Extremity classes.
• Medical Massage Practitioner Program: Includes each of the classes in the Professional Level (the Day of the Back and Lower Extremity) and Masters Level Programs (Day of the Neck and Upper Extremities.)  Plus, if you enroll in the entire Medical Massage Practitioner Program, you will also receive a free Online Insurance Billing Home Study class.

Earn Your MMP! Complete all required courses to earn the prestigious Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP) wall certificate, worthy of framing, and use the “MMP” designation. 

Save money by enrolling in multiple classes at once.  Classes may be taken individually or as part of a series. While most students prefer to take the program in the order that it is scheduled, you may take advantage of our flexible scheduling and enroll in classes in any order or location. Select the classes that are the most convenient for you! Simply add each of the classes that you wish to enroll in to your shopping cart and a series discount will be added at checkout, OR you may prefer to enroll in the Level or Program you wish to take and the discount will already be applied. Discounts only apply when classes are purchased together, in the same shopping cart.

When Does this Class Take Place?

This course is offered on a national schedule and typically takes place over two weekends, which are a couple of weeks apart, on a Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am-5:30 pm.

This class is also offered at Las Vegas Success School, on our Seminars at Sea and a Costa Rica Education Vacation. Days and times may vary based on the event.

Summary of Massage CE Course Approval

National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB):

• This is a series of 4 classes that offer 8 hours of live, hands-on massage CE each for a total of 32 hours
• This is a series of 4 classes that offer 8 hours of synchronous, distance learning (webinar) massage CE each (when available) for a total of 32 hours
• New York endorsement available upon request

CE Broker:

• This is a series of 4 classes that 8 hours of live, hands-on massage CE each for a total of 32 hours
• We report to CE Broker for Florida and Georgia therapists

BONUS Hours: Students who enroll in the entire MMP course will also receive a complimentary Insurance Billing Online Home Study Program that is approved by NCBTMB and CE Broker for 5 general hours.

If you are licensed in more than one state, hours may be used toward multiple states.

While most states accept NCBTMB-approved courses, individual state licensing boards have the final say as to which courses are in the scope of practice for massage therapists and approved in their state.  Therapists are responsible for verifying their state’s specific CE requirements.

This course is not currently approved for CE credit in Louisiana or Mississippi. Insurance Billing is not accepted for hours in New York.

Who should take this class?

This class is specifically intended for licensed massage therapists. 

Massage therapy students nearing program completion are eligible to attend.  (Note: CE hours may not transfer to future renewals in most states)

Healthcare professionals licensed for touch therapies (e.g., nurses, physical therapists, chiropractors) may take this course for educational purposes only. You may check with your state board to confirm if it falls within your scope of practice and qualifies for CE credit.

This course provides continuing education (CE) hours for massage therapists and a Certificate of Completion. This certificate does not replace a massage license.

Each state has its own CE requirements and definitions of “scope of practice” for massage therapists. Verify with your state board to ensure the course qualifies for your renewal needs.

Digital Course Delivery:

This class is a live, in-person class. Course materials that support this class will be provided in a digital format. All class materials will be accessible online through our convenient student portal. You’ll receive login instructions via email about a week to ten days before your class start date. Please ensure the email address that you enroll in class with is correct and unique to you.

What You Can Do on the Portal:

• Access and download course materials
• Complete a waiver
• Confirm your attendance
• Submit a course evaluation
• Download your Certificate of Completion

Bring Your Device: We recommend having a device like a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access during class for optimal participation. If you don’t have one, it is not a problem. Please inform your instructor to confirm your attendance.

Need Help? Our student portal is user-friendly, but if you encounter issues, please contact the LMT Success Group before class or arrive early and ask your instructor for assistance before the start of class. A limited number of printed manuals will be available for purchase from your instructor.

Get Ready for Class!

General Information for ALL Classes:

• Massage table: Bring a portable massage table if you have one. (It’s hard to practice massage without a massage table.)
• Linens: For each day of class, you will need a set of sheets and a face cradle cover.
• Lubricant: Bring a small container of lubricant of your choice for use in class.
• Comfortable clothing: Wear comfortable clothes as you’ll be giving and receiving massages. Meeting rooms may sometimes be cold so please bring a sweater or jacket.
• Textbook review: You may want to consider reviewing anatomy and physiology textbooks if applicable.
• Class materials: You’ll receive digital access to class materials about a week to ten days before your class. You can download or print them. Please review your manual prior to class. Bring a notebook and pen for notes.
• Technology: We recommend having a device like a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access during class for optimal participation. If you don’t have one, it is not a problem. Many classes are multi-media.
• Essentials: Bring water, snacks, and money for lunch, parking, and other expenses.
• Purchases: Some instructors may offer products for sale, so bring cash or a credit card if interested.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy

If you enroll in a class and for some reason, you are unable to make it, don’t worry, you are covered. This clarifies your options if you need to cancel your enrollment:

Cancellation more than 30 days before class: We will process a full refund to the original payment method.

Cancellation within 30 days of class:  No refund is offered, however, you will receive a credit to take another class. You can receive a course course credit to take the same class at a later date/location or you may transfer to a different class.

After signing the waiver and receiving access to course materials: You will receive a course credit to take the same class at a later date/location.

On rare occasions, we need to cancel or reschedule a class. If that happens, we’ll let you know as soon as possible by email and text. You can choose a refund, switch to another class, or keep your spot for next time. Just a heads up: please double-check your class is still happening before booking non-refundable travel.

Staying Overnight for Your Class?

Convenience and Comfort:  If you’re traveling to a class and staying overnight, staying at the same location where it’s held can be very convenient. We prioritize booking classes at business travel hotels that offer a comfortable and affordable experience. These hotels are often grouped close to other similar properties, so if you don’t find a room at the hotel where the class is being held, there should be other good options nearby.

Room Booking:  For weekend classes (excluding special events such as Success School & Education Vacations), we typically don’t arrange room blocks. Room block rates (if available) expire a few weeks before the event. Consider booking directly with the hotel for more flexibility and service compared to third-party sites.

Finding the Best Rate: Check directly with the hotel for any discounts. Explore popular travel websites like hotels.com, trivago.com, expedia.com, etc. for deals. Check rates at other nearby hotels.

Confirmation Reminder:  Enrolled students will receive an email reminder 7-10 days before the class with the confirmed location details.
