Description
Lymphatic Cupping for Massage Therapists
Most therapists use pressure created by their fingers, wrists and body weight. Massage cupping therapists use suction created by the cups to provide a negative pressure, allowing you to work MUCH, MUCH deeper with no client discomfort and NO STRAIN on your body. In this dynamic course, you will learn a full body lymphatic drainage treatment using the cups. (No more compression bandages – remember, you are using negative pressure!) You will also learn a terrific non-surgical face-lift technique using facial cups. You will leave the class with several brand new protocols to market in your practice. You will have an opportunity to find out about a variety of massage cups.
Students will learn:
- Indications and benefits of cups.
- Contraindications and endangerment zones when working with massage cups.
- The science behind how cupping works and how the body is affected by this therapy.
- An overview of the lymphatic system.
- Why cupping marks ARE NOT A BRUISE!
- The history of massage cupping.
- Benefits of using different types of massage cups.
- Application of cups and pressure levels.
- The layout of cups to treat specific conditions and desired effects.
- Extensive cupping techniques and routines to work the entire body.
- Cup maintenance.

This is a hands-on workshop. To help you find your perfect cupping fit, the instructor provides a curated ‘test-drive’ station with various tools to try before you buy. Because these are shared demo units, bringing your own personal kit is required for continuous hands-on practice. As a starter set, we recommend at least a 4-cup set of the Lure Edge Advanced Cupping Therapy Kit which may be purchased from the Lure website or Amazon.com. This is a professional grade product that will serve you well in your massage practice for years to come.
