EZ Kinesiology-Taping / Lymphatic Drainage
This continuing education seminar is an Introduction to the Kinesio Taping Method (KTM), intended for healthcare and therapy providers to introduce practitioners to the usefulness of KTM in their practices.
- This class covers the five major physiological systems (skin, muscle, fascia, circulatory/lymph and joint) and will include hands-on lab sessions to to practice KTM application.
- You will learn about the history and properties of Kinesio Tex Tape including cutting techniques and learn how it can be used to enhance massage treatments.
- You will apply the Kinesio Tex Tape to muscle applications to produce the effects of re-educating the neuromuscular system, reduce pain, support sports performance, prevent injury, promote circulation and healing and improve functional movement and positioning.
Upon completion of this class, the practitioner will be able to work with the Kinesio Taping Method in order to relax overuse syndrome, stimulate weak muscles, and decrease pain and swelling.
You will also learn the principles of lymphatic drainage and how taping can assist with lymphatic drainage protocols.
Hours and CE's
These classes take place in a single day from 8am-8pm and offer 12 live massage therapy continuing education contact hours.
*A $10 material fee for tape will be assessed to all students taking this class. Alternatively students must bring their own supplies including a roll of tape, preferrably Kinesio Tex Tape and scissors. Please pre-pay for supplies to ensure adequate supplies are available.
Florida therapists who take this class will receive an additional 12 hours in online home study hours including all of the Florida Required Classes for no extra charge!
