Perhaps you have already had the luxury of taking classes with us at the internationally acclaimed Pura Vida Spa nestled in the mountains of Costa Rica. Maybe you are going to Pura Vida but you want just a little bit more time to enjoy other areas of Costa Rica. Maybe you are really in the mood for a beach vacation and/or the opportunity to take the Advanced Level of our Medical Massage programming in Costa Rica. We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to continue your education at Blue Osa Sanctuary and Spa.

You may take this trip as an add-on to the April Pura Vida training or on it's own.

Curriculum Path

For our inagural trip to Blue Osa, we will only be offering one class:

• Advanced Medical Massage - taught by Tamylnn "TC" Cameron. The material covered in this class is perfect for the Medical Massage Practitioner looking to take their practice to the next level. You will learn about muscle testing, advanced techniques to help your patients and how to build and sustain a successful medical massage practice.

You may choose to take this class in one of two ways:

• Extension to Pura Vida trip - This is where you first join us at our Pura Vida mountain retreat from April 21-April 28, 2011, where you can select from the following course options: Medical Massage Practitioner Certification; Thai Massage and WorkSmart classes. Then you join us at the Blue Osa Spa where you can literally wake up and walk to the beach or enjoy a variety of other excursions wrapped around the Advanced Medical Massage course. This is a five-day, four-night trip available only to registrants in the April 2012 Pura Vida trip, for an additional cost of $795*.
  
  
• Stand Alone Trip to Blue Osa Spa - This is a seven-day, six-night trip intended for students not enrolled in the Pura Vida trip. You will have the same classroom time as the students enrolled in the Extension trip, only with more free time to explore this amazing location. The cost of this trip is $1290*.

*Included in your cost is accomodations at Blue Osa Yoga Sanctuary &Spa, all meals and soft beverages and all classes. Transportation, excursions, spa services, alcoholic beverages and gratuities are not included in the pricing of this trip.

Extacurricular Activities

You may want to just chill out by the mineral pool or take a swim in the ocean. There is a wi-fi accesible lounge area that is perfect for socializing, reading and relaxing. Blue Osa Tours are not to be missed. Whether you are into wandering through botanical gardens, attending a chocolate tour or gold-mining or if you would prefer a kayak adventure, ziplining through a rainforest or a waterfall rappel, there is something for everybody. Blue Osa also offers some amazing Spa Services. You work hard, you deserve to treat yourself.

Facility/Accomodations

You really are in a private, secluded tropical paradise, walking distance to the beach. This is the eco-tourist's ideal and a surfer's dream. The accomodations at Blue Osa are simple yet elegant. You can awaken to an ocean sunrise and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest. The eating area is large and inviting, with a view of the Gulf. This is a relatively small facility so it is necessary to limit the number of students that we can accomodate.

When traveling to Blue Osa, you should fly in to San Jose Airport (airport code: SJO). From San Jose Airport you can transfer to Sansa Airlines for a flight in to Puerto Jimenez. You may also chose to travel on Nature Air to Puerto Jimenez out of Pavas Airport in San Jose. This flight is an amazing sight-seeing flight, an excursion in itself, for a quick 50-minute trip to the coast. You may also rent a car and take your choice of scenic sight-seeing routes for an 8-10 hour trip through the mountains.
